A church logo has to sit comfortably in very different places: the Sunday bulletin, a livestream corner, the website header, a banner by the road and a youth-group T-shirt. The designs that last are simple — a cross, a flame, a crown or a mountain, an elegant serif or a sturdy block face, and one or two colors such as navy and cream or ink and gold. This generator offers exactly those pieces in badge, stacked, horizontal and wordmark layouts.

Type your church name, add a founding year or a service time as the tagline, and export a vector SVG for signs and printing plus a transparent PNG for slides and social posts. It is free, with no account and no watermark, so a volunteer can make and update it without a design budget.

Simple enough for a bulletin

Most church logos end up printed in one color on a bulletin or photocopied on a flyer, so start in a single dark color and add a second only if it still works without it. A badge with a cross and a founding year reads as established; a horizontal wordmark is easier to fit into a website header or a livestream overlay.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a church logo?

Type your church name, choose a badge or horizontal layout, pick a cross, flame, crown or mountain icon, and choose a quiet palette such as navy and cream. Add a founding year or “Sundays 10 AM” as the tagline, then download the SVG and PNG.

Can I make a logo for a youth group or ministry too?

Yes. Use the same church name with a different tagline, or switch to the stacked layout with a star or flame for a youth ministry, so the family of logos still looks related.

Does it work in one color?

Yes — pick the ink or navy palette and the SVG prints cleanly in a single color on bulletins, envelopes and embroidered shirts.

Can I use my logo commercially?

Yes. Logos you make here are built from an original parametric engine and open-licensed (SIL OFL) fonts, so you can use the downloaded files for commercial projects — merch, channels, storefronts and print. See the licensing page for the full terms.

Will my church logo be trademark-safe?

We don’t run a trademark search, and a generated logo is not a registered trademark. Before you build a brand around it, check it against existing marks (for example the USPTO database) and avoid copying the logo of another church or denomination. The design is a starting point, not legal advice.
