A construction logo does most of its work outdoors and at a distance: on the side of a truck, a jobsite banner, a yard sign and a hard-hat sticker. That favors heavy condensed or block type, one simple symbol — a roofline, a hammer, a shield — and two high-contrast colors like black and gold or navy and white. This generator is set up for exactly that: badge, horizontal, stacked and wordmark layouts, with fonts and palettes chosen for legibility from across a street.

Type your company name, add a tagline such as “Est. 2008” or “Licensed & insured”, and export a vector SVG — the file a sign shop or vehicle wrap installer will ask for — plus a transparent PNG for estimates, invoices and your website. Everything renders in your browser, with no signup and no watermark.

Readable at 50 feet

If the logo will go on a truck or a yard sign, test it small and far: shrink it to a thumbnail and see if the name still reads. Heavy type, one icon and two colors survive; thin scripts and gradients do not. Use the horizontal layout for truck doors and the badge for hard hats and shirts.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a construction company logo?

Type your company name, choose a badge or horizontal layout, pick a house, hammer or shield icon, and use a two-color palette such as black and gold. Add a year or “Licensed & insured” as the tagline, then download the SVG and PNG.

What file does a sign shop or wrap installer need?

Usually a vector file. The SVG download is a clean vector that scales to a truck wrap or a site banner without blurring; the transparent PNG is for documents and the web.

Can I put my license number in the logo?

You can type it as the tagline, but it is usually better on the truck or sign itself, next to the logo, so the logo stays clean and the number can change without redesigning the mark.

Can I use my logo commercially?

Yes. Logos you make here are built from an original parametric engine and open-licensed (SIL OFL) fonts, so you can use the downloaded files for commercial projects — merch, channels, storefronts and print. See the licensing page for the full terms.

Will my construction logo be trademark-safe?

We don’t run a trademark search, and a generated logo is not a registered trademark. Before you build a brand around it, check it against existing marks (for example the USPTO database) and avoid names or symbols that copy an existing contractor. The design is a starting point, not legal advice.
